Getting started

Is OnArk free to try? Do I need a credit card?

OnArk is free until you publish. You get instant access to every feature — build your whole growth track, invite your team, test it with your staff — without paying anything. No credit card to start. You only pick a plan when you're ready to share with your church.

Are there sample builds or a demo I can look at?

Yes. The fastest way is a 30-minute walkthrough with someone who actually runs growth track at a church — book one at our walkthrough page. Or sign up and you'll see sample courses you can clone and customize for your own pathway.

Do guests need to create an account?

No. Guests don't create an OnArk login. They enter their email on the check-in page and OnArk remembers them for future courses and for resuming the same course later. Zero account management for you, zero friction for them.

How does OnArk handle multisite churches?

Multiple campuses are supported. You can duplicate courses across campuses, set up campus-specific ministry teams, and route guests to the right team based on the campus they select. We'll walk you through the setup on a free call if you're multisite.

How check-ins work

What counts as a check-in?

A check-in happens when a guest enters their email and starts a class. One guest in two different classes = 2 check-ins. The same guest returning to the same class within 30 days = still 1 check-in.

Does previewing or testing a course count toward my plan?

No. Previews and admin test runs never count toward billing. If you're invited as a team member to an account, your own check-ins are treated as admin and don't count either — they also always start from the beginning so you can test the full flow.

What if I want unlimited check-ins?

We're happy to work out custom pricing for high-volume or unlimited usage. Email hello@onark.app or book a walkthrough and we'll figure it out.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription? What happens to our data?

Yes, any time. Your data and classes stay intact — we keep your account for 30 days after cancellation so you can come back without rebuilding. After that, data is removed. Refunds within 30 days of any charge, no questions asked.

Planning Center integration

How does OnArk connect to Planning Center?

One click in Church Settings → "Connect to Planning Center." Whoever connects needs PCO permission to edit profiles. After that, every class can write to PCO custom fields and add people to Workflows automatically.

Can OnArk push DISC, Enneagram, or Spiritual Gifts results into PCO?

Yes. Set up an automation on the course with the assessment and map each result (top gift, full breakdown, scores) to PCO custom profile fields. Once it's set up, results flow into PCO automatically within minutes of the guest finishing.

Will OnArk create duplicate Planning Center profiles?

No. We match by email and link to the existing PCO profile. A guest who takes three different classes shows up as one PCO profile with three OnArk check-ins on record.

Do you integrate with Subsplash or other church platforms?

We don't integrate directly with Subsplash. You can link to OnArk courses from anywhere — your website, Subsplash, your app, an email — and check-in works the same. Deeper integrations (SSO, embeds) aren't available today.

Building classes

What is a Branch?

A Branch lets you give guests a choice and send them to different sections based on the answer. Example: at the end of Step One you ask "Are you ready to become a member?" — Yes routes them to a member form; Not yet ends the course with a follow-up message. Branches make one course feel like a real conversation.

Can I embed an OnArk class on our church website?

You can link to OnArk classes from anywhere — your website, app, emails. We don't currently support iframe embeds because the guest experience is better as a full page. The link looks like onark.app/yourchurch/classname (or your own custom domain on paid plans).

Can I license the Spiritual Gifts test for use outside OnArk?

No — the OnArk Spiritual Gifts test is for use inside OnArk classes only. If you'd like to use it elsewhere, talk to us at hello@onark.app and we'll see what's possible.

Is the guest experience available in other languages?

Yes — the guest-facing side supports translation, and built-in assessments (DISC, Spiritual Gifts, Enneagram) are translated too. Guests can switch via their browser language or the in-app picker. The admin side is English-only for now.
